The final sail of the season came with the most extreme tides we’ve seen on the Westport, thanks to the sun and moon’s perfect alignment on opposite sides of the planet. Saturday was sufficiently blustry that the four of us decided to share a single boat, and we had a fine time sailing around the harbor…
…before making our way upriver to an island to make camp. Sunday provided the perfect conditions for learning, with a pleasant breeze throughout the day, and a spot of excitement as we got hung up on a rock by the ebb tide. In short: a great weekend.
Thanks to everyone who joined us for a wonderful season!
