Five children, mostly around six years old and down to an exceptional three year old, hopped aboard with both returning and new daring parents for a total of eleven of us on three boats. We had two beautiful days together on the Westport River’s west branch, leavened with island camping, beach lunches, swimming, and venturing out of the harbor both afternoons for a couple of breezy sails on the open sound.
